Sound solutions for a world of floor challenges

Floor underlayments are used in place of traditional concrete to better encapsulate infloor tubing.  Becuase of their superior strength, they can be used in a thinner application than concrete and thereby more quickly and efficently conduct and readiate heat.  in addition to tubing encapsulation, floor underlayments provide a sound barrier between floors and between rooms.

Since gypsum first met sand in 1972, Gyp-Crete, now Maxxon Corporation, has provided superior underlayment products for solving virtually any floor problem. Bobcat & Sun is your local authorized applicator with over twenty years of experience.

Gyp-Crete 2000-3.2K is ideal for placement over wood or concrete subfloors in single-family, light commercial and multi-family construction as well as renovation projects.

Dura-Cap is formulated to smooth concrete slabs or precast planks.  Faster drying with additional surface strength, Dura-Cap satisfies most floor-goods product specifications. Commercial Topping is poured from a feather-edge to 3" deep in new construction or renovation projects.  With compressive strengths of 4000 psi to 4500 psi, it's the ideal underlayment for all resilient flooring product specifications with NO SHOTBLASTING REQUIRED.

Therma-Floor is a gypsum underlayment designed to pour over hot water tubes or electric heating cables.  It becomes the thermal mass for any radiant floor system.  This crack resistant, non-combustable formula resists breakdown to 150 degress F.  And because it's poured only 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" thick, the heating system is more responsive and more comfortable.
